Meeks Treats all started with Malikah’s little food cart selling 5 flavors of banana pudding. From there, Malikah was able to open a storefront and went from making 5 flavors to 13 at the first ever banana pudding store! Her shop was very popular and was even featured in the Frankford Times.
While still running her banana pudding shop, Malikah got involved in other delicious projects like starting Jammin J’s Food Truck, which serves all things fish (fish tacos, fish sandwiches, fish salads — it’s “the little red truck with the best fish on land”) and being the lead vendor for Meals Direct, a new company that supplies meals for senior citizens.
Malikah is very grateful for the grant she got from Barstools & Million Dollar Worth of Game to help turn her business goals into a reality. She loves to learn and is always taking workshops and classes to continue her business education. Before launching her companies, Malikah was part of the Community College Jumpstart your Business Cohort and was mentored by a Goldman Sachs program that helped her with a business plan.
Malikah is very connected with her community. She is a community activist in Frankford and spearheads an annual back to school event that supports youth in the neighborhood.
Malikah loves to cater events! Whether it’s Jammin J’s Food Truck or Meek’s Treats, you can hire her for your next party!
